5 Yellow, and 5 White bowls were placed in the lawn and garden respectively. Different types of insect or species were attracted to these bowls based on the colours to understand the biodiversity. Yes there is difference in the diversity of invertebrates in the two environments (Gaston, Kevin J, 2000). Most of the species flies in Lawn instead of the garden. Almost all specified species fly in lawn but on the other side only few species fly in the garden. Not only this but also, most of the species fly number of times in Lawn in comparison to the garden. In garden there are only few species and also for many bowls in the garden, there is no species even. The diversity is highly seen in the Lawn environment not in the Garden. In these two environments, in Lawn there are 7 types of species but in garden the types of species are of 5 types only. Fly6 and Wasp3 species are not available in the garden but in lawn only.
Variation in the diversity due to trap colour
The below figure is represented the variation in the diversity due to trap colour. This shows that Yellow colour attracts most of the species in comparison to others. The Lawn Yellow attracted fly 1 8 times followed by Lawn White that attracted Fly2 6 times. Other colour Laws and Garden did not attracted that much. The garden attracted the least numbers of species.
This represents that trap colour in both Lawn and Garden attracts differentially to various types of insects or species. Therefore, trap colour is the important factor for variation in the diversity. For any lawn and garden, diversity is the important factor that keeps the lawn and garden alive with different -different insects or species.
