As a student of Bachelor of Arts in Economics and businesses with East European Studies, the primary learning that I gained from this degree was the fact that economics does not have any individual dimension rather it has a multitude of dimensions. In the first year I obtained a strong foundation on micro-economics, international relations and politics with focus on contemporary Europe. In the second year, however, I learned about diverse subjects such as international macro-economics, European Macro-economics, Business Accounting, Micro-economics topics, European Integration within political economy and applied econometrics. In the final year, I completed my dissertation research on the global financial crisis with a focus on future implications of individual currency area. This research helped me to gain tremendous knowledge of how data is analysed and the way in which economic theories are applied and interpreted. I have also made use of software’s such as Strata to work on economics related data analysis with higher efficiency of operating on computers.
