Elliott’s comparison with the readings in Schoppa
Elliot has tried to highlight the work of Manchu in his book and brought a great understanding to engage and accomplish with the great renaissance time period. The state at which many groups have to tried to process and accomplish with different consequences, have tried to maintain their connection along with their survival in that era. The meaning of the politics in that time is clearly explained that led to necessary existence of the Chinese people. In contrast to the Schoppa, it contradicts on the banner system where the troops used to take the families of Manchu, differentiating on the basis of their colors. This showed difference in their bureaucratic attitude along with managing organization. The affairs have the military denotation which provides a better population rate, registering to the systems of success of Manchu. These eight banners are said to be the institutional innovation for the civilization of that time. It is said that the Qing was determined to focus on how to protect the civilization which could have otherwise be conquered by the neighboring countries. The Manchu people, in that time, tried to held some religious practices and customers which included all the horse-rising and other promotion. These qualities are said to be exclusive of that time and brought a great difference in the custom approach in that civilization.
