Code of conduct says that one should be respectful to other; individuals should also ensure that there is dignity for other individuals. This means all the members should also ensure that other persons are also treated with dignity. Individuals should not harass anyone. Harassment includes sexual harassment and also distressing, offensive behaviour which can lead to mental harassment of other individuals. Individuals should also avoid bullying other individuals (Adam & Rachman-Moore, 2004)
Thus it tries to address the issues of providing an environment where everyone can put in grievances before the system and tries to be more ethical in nature.
For GSK it addresses various ethical issues. First it mentions that it is intolerant to corruption. It forbids its employees to engage in corrupt practices. It states that the employees should adhere to regulatory and the healthcare laws and should not resort to unethical activities which breaks these laws. It says any employee can face disciplinary action regardless of its position if they are found to be breaking these laws. Code of conduct states they should act with integrity, respect other employees and lastly be patient (GSK Company, 2013).
Employees should not engage in corruption or provide bribes to the government officials. Employees have to deal with lot of government officials and hence they should not engage themselves to give or take bribes to get their work done.
