Similarly, if he has a vision but is not able to motivate his team in the best manner so he is ineffective. The most important elements of an effective leader in my opinion are communication and motivation.
Therefore, in order for me to be an effective manager at a hotel, I would need to work highly upon proper communication. Communication is not just interacting with another person and communicating what you want to get done but it is taking in the situation and the abilities of the workers in to consideration as well (Rosner, 2001).

Today, communication is not only limited to interaction but expands much further towards the feelings of the workers and the effectiveness of it (Ray & Rizzacasa, 2012). A leader can communicate in the best manner only if workers are able to understand and comprehend what he says and have the ability to follow the instructions as well.
I would be highly conscious of the situation and would interact with different people in different ways in order to make sure that my communication is effective enough. Since, the core function of a leader is to motivate the followers, I would assign the workers challenging tasks every now and then in order to make sure that they are able to grow in the best manner and are never bored(Clinton, 1992). I would take in to consideration their abilities and qualities and would assign them work accordingly.
