China’s beer industry has developed significantly since the late 1990s, to the extent that the industry is now considered to have entered a mature stage. Meanwhile, beer sales in Beijing have also increased rapidly in this period.In 2013,the total market capacity of Beijing was expected to be 1.5 million kilolitres, which is roughly 85 litres per capita.Due to the large market size, competition has intensified among China’s three leading beer companies: the Harbin Brewery Co.; the Yanjing Beer Group; and the Snow Beer Group.At present, the Yanjing Beer Group is still the market leader.However,the Harbin Brewery Co. has made a surge for a larger market share in Beijing  by way of their Olympic strategy, while the Snow Beer Group has also attempted to enlarge their sales in the capital through a high-input cost strategy.This thesis attempts to analyse the developing status and sales strategy of Harbin Beer Co., a leading domestic beer corporation, in order to provide theoretical guidance and reference for the company’s subsequent promotional strategies, and in order to improve its future development
