The companies are found to lose credibility in the process. They are not able to maintain positive stakeholder relationship and the brand image of the company is lost in general. This would ultimately be costly for the company and would cause the company to face sustenance issues. Hence the companies try to look for ways to aid the employees. One of the ways in which the company tries to understand the employee is by maintaining open lines of communication and creating procedural justice. Apart from this the companies try to maintain transparency in the process of helping the employees. Cumulative factors would lead towards the growth of the company in general. These would lead to progress for all the stakeholders who are involved with the company. Hence organizational stress is a major issue that the companies need to handle by using tangible and intrinsic means.
From the review work, it can be determined that the people in the companies are stressed based on lower salaries, excessive workloads, overtime, fewer opportunities for growth, mundane work jobs, repetitive jobs and conflict in the workplace. The work-related stress also causes the people to be impacted personally. The employees must find ways to handle these issues. For these changes, there must be microenvironment changes that the companies must address. The companies must make the employees understand the macro environmental factors and make changes internally. In this analysis, there were three sectors that were considered. It was the health sector, manufacturing sector and IT sector. Even though their service deliverable is different, some of the key issues are found to remain the same across the different sectors.
Some of the recommendations for the companies are:
Increasing ways to interact with the employees and having open transparent lines of communication. There must be informal and formal meetings set up to listen to the viewpoints of the employees. Changes must be made based on the feedback that is received from the employees to improve the process. These would reduce the operational costs and improve the performance along with the morale of the companies.
The companies must find ways to address the internal conflicts (Purohit, 2014).
There must be a management style that resonates with the local culture of the place.
The managers and the management must develop empathy for the employees and ensure that they have safe working place in order to ensure the safety standards.
The companies must find ways to work along with the stakeholders and ensure that all the stakeholder interests are met in the process.
From this it can be concluded that the companies in the current era must find ways to have open communication and ensure that there is procedural justice to ensure that there is overall growth and credibility.
