Financial Considerations and resource factors
In Ampleforth Abbey we have our own orchards in which an extensive planting program takes place for the planation of apples. In our own orchard, we have been planting 3000 trees since last year. At present there are 40 different varieties of apples grown on the sites. In order to provide the right balance of the taste, all these apples are mixed in the adequate quantities after which the juice is left for fermentation. So, Ampleforth has all the necessary initial requirements which are important for the manufacturing of the cider product.
