Leadership and management are relevant for delivering services of good health. Even though the two concepts are more or less the same, however, in certain aspects, these may be involving different categories of behaviours, skills, and outlook.
Good managers should be striving on being good leaders, and good leaders requires appropriate skills of management for being effective (Hook and Foot, 2005). Leaders hold the ability of having a vision regarding achievement of what can be done and then communicating this to the others and for evolving the strategies to realize the visions. Motivation of people is done by leaders and have the ability of negotiating the resources along with other support for the achievement of these goals.
On the other hand, managers focus on ensuring that the resources available are organized in a well manner and application of these available resources are done by the production of most appropriate result (Kinicki and Kreitner, 2005). In the environment that is restrained of resources and involve several difficulties for a number of middle income to low income nations, it is important that a business organization not only had a leader but a manager as well for the achievement of maximum positive results and success for the business organization. Leaders play a significant role for the creation of vision and managers work on getting things done in a significant manner.
Managers focus to get things done by bringing balance in the individuals involved within the business organization. In addition to this, leaders show centralized concern towards the employees (Klerck, 2009). This also involved performance of actions and making decision in relation to each and every type of other activities as well.
