The movie by United Nations impresses upon the vitality of water for human existence as well as development. The striking 3-D animation and graphics in a contrast of blue and white lucidly convey that ‘water revitalizes the entire planet’. The overpowering blue wash against the white backdrop effectively emphasizes the need to address global water issues in order to ensure the sustainability of other natural resources.  The movie is not repetitive, like most other media in circulation that asks the viewer to embark on a journey to save water as a resource. Instead the movie shows that a slight drop of water transfigures into a human heart, a tree, and an urbanized hub full of skyscrapers and industrial machinery. In one sweep the movie exports the viewer to a world where one realizes that water not only nurtures but also it is the sole point of culmination of the civilization. Therefore it becomes needless to show a hoarding saying ‘save water’ for the audience is immediately made to understand the paramount importance of water conservation. The next thing that I wish to highlight is that the movie also shows a single water droplet extends to connect all the landmasses and engulfs the spread of the globe showing clearly that water brings about equality and fraternity amongst the nations of the world. Nurture, nature, urbanization, industry, energy, food, and our whole world are symbolized poignantly by a single droplet in this video (United Nations, 2015). Thus, this movie is a very effective tool of communication as it leaves the audience to decide and judge for themselves the necessity of water and its subsequent measures and non-wasteful use. The near perfect animation and the magnificent visual graphics employed in this movie clip easily impress upon the minds of its viewer a wholesome understanding of water usage without bothering to instruct or warn. Lastly, I argue that this video is a very different, path breaking visual on water conservation and quality management in recent times, as it has attempted to approach a time torn issue from a very different perspective.
