As a child while growing up the poet used to go with family to the church and in the poem she has provided insight about the preparation that the whole family used to make for the purpose of going to the church. Her mother used to make them ready and the father used to polish their shoes in the stairway. She was a huge believer of God and was of the opinion that He used to live in stairs of her house and was of the opinion that God used to follow their car while they were going to churchy. After getting ready whole family used to go to the church every Sunday and she still remembers the bells and music that she used to hear in church. So this proves that the poet used to go with her family to the church every Sunday during her childhood.
The Most Powerful Question a Parent Can Ask
According to the writer the manner in which the parents treat their children varies a lot and that impacts the personality and growth of children. The writer is of the opinion that the children can be respected by providing them right responsibilities at the right time. This thing will be helpful in making them responsible, confident and considerate. Parents shall start with smaller tasks and can increase magnitude of these tasks with the future but at the same time shall show children appreciation and respect for the job or responsibility that they might be fulfilling. This thing can be proven by the example of the writer, who has been able to teach children fulfilling their tasks and receive appreciation in return. This is not only a tool of showing them respect but at the same time preparing them for future.
