In the present, scenario lives of human being have become challenging towards environmental hazards coming from flood, earth quake, climate change etc. Other hazards are emerged from the misuse of the natural resources and manmade hazards that include smoking and food safety. Environmental hazards are the potential threats that human society is facing. There has been different paradigm on the increasing environment hazards.  Engineers say that geo-physical extreme is the main cause of disaster. There are several environmental hazards those have been brought by the behavioural faults of people including the misperception of the hazard risks, deforestation, and minimization of the rivers and wastages of natural resources.

Hewritt (1983) said that controlling hazards engineer’s works should include flood embankment and creating earthquake- proofed buildings. There should be monitoring and scientific analyses of the geographical processes and happening and the affected areas of hazards must be operated by armed forces, such things could become a good source of controlling environmental hazards.  Wisner (2004) in his study said that disasters and hazards are caused by the clash between the socio-economic and natural processes. Wisner further says that disasters in world have been brought by the human exploitation of nature as well as materialistic world. Chronic malnutrition, population, pollution, illness, armed conflict have also caused disasters.
