The European Union has developed a lot over the year and it is constantly on evolution. Each member states contribute a lot in terms of the members supporting and participating in the course of European Union. For example, the IGCs which were introduced and concluded during 1950-1960 because of signature by Paris and Rome clearly support the importance of member states in decision making of the European Union. There are many areas where European Union impactsthe member states. It can be the mechanism of bringing the change, outcome of the change or the areas where change has impacted the most.
If dimension are taken into consideration, the policies affects not only one but approximately two to three areas. The policies have long term impact on the member states and can affect even after many years of policy formulation. For example, the time during the Second World War and the signature of treaty of Rome in 1957 has changed the dimensions of the organization. So the policy is formulated with utmost care and takes into considerations all the points which affect the policy (Bulmer 2013).
