The heavy ornamentation and the use of dresses that are clearly richer than the average middle class person is a powerful representation. However the same ornamentation technique might not work on man. Foucault’s body subjected to disciplining is said to be in the grip of very strict institutions that has subjected the body to prohibitions and constraints in its remodeling of power (Marome, 2005). The remodeling in today’s age is different for men and women. Foucault talks of the soldier, the straight back and more. These are purely masculine traits that have been carried till the present century. Women have also been trained to sit up, stand straight, and imitate the posture to represent power. These bodily transformations are similar, however not all are.
