For this report the company selected is Nando’s, Mr. Phil was interviewed on the telephone because he is a friend and he agreed to give interview for the report. It was difficult to interview him in person because he is very busy with his job and as this fast food restaurant is running and has large customer segment so telephonic interview was feasible. Before moving further with the report brief introduction about the company will be presented. Quinn (2012) commented that Nando’s is an international restaurant for dining out and has food chains all over the world. This restaurant was started in South Africa with a theme of Mozambican and was founded in 1987. Today the company operates in more than 1000 outlets in 30 countries. The main specialization of the restaurant is in chicken which is with lemon and herb with extra, medium and rare chilli and other marinades flavours that are a secret of the restaurant.
Analysis on Nando’s
After conducting the interview with Phil various levels of information were gathered and all of the information will be presented now in a new manner. First internal analysis of the firm will be conducted and linked with the information that was shared by the manager.
Size of the firm
Nando’s is a big firm that has various outlets and is expanded all over the world but the branch of Nando’s that is operated in Sydney has 25-40 employees including waiters, cooks, mangers and trainees. All these employees work within the restaurant from 9 am to 6 pm. The fast food chain operates on the objectives and principles of the parent company and all the recopies present similar with the parent company. Annual sales of this branch as mentioned by the manager are: $ 21million. Annual profits of the company all over the world are £419.5m (Alon, 2012). This figure is double than the figure of last year and the popularity of the company are increasing day by day among the customers.
