Decision making in Manolucci is quite restricted to the main two owners of the company, but the strategic decision of the company is used as the main motivating force for the employees.
The current strategy of Manolucci is to ensure that clients get what they pay for. Therefore, in manufacturing Manolucci works with direct designer clients who want custom end products. The products are manufactured in small quantities and not bulk manufactured and hence more attention and detail can be given to each individual manufacturing. The Manolucci Handbag Factory will first produce a sample for the client and as part of their custom manufactory, requests the client to first share their idea about the bag. Ideas are shared in the form of diagrams, direct communication with the bag engineers, and even a hand on workshop where the client could use existing artifacts to show the type of product they want. The custom sketch is created with details on the front view, the top and back views. Details of the body of the bag and additional details in the form of pockets, handles, straps and more are created (Manolucci, 2016).

These strategies can be appropriate for the GM SBU for sufficiently long period of time and their accessibility can be obtained via consultancy, publication, and conferences explaining their popularity. Firstly, the implementation of these strategies and practices alone cannot end up developing the ability of the SBU in understanding and creating its own strategy. This is particularly true in case that there is delivery of the external consultants with packaged solutions. With the change of conditions, the GM SBU will continue to have reliance on external help in adapting its policies related to manufacturing in new situations. The implementation of these strategies relies to an extent on the development of consistent and integrated set of actions chosen from the manufacturing policies that are existent. The GM SBU needs to survive and prosper in a marketplace that is fiercely competitive. The strategies of marketing should also be implemented. The central part of that strategy is market segmentation, differentiation, and cost leadership.
