It is science which taught us that the planet on which we live is one of a hundred billion galaxies in a universe which is 13.8 billion years old, which revolves around one of a 100 billion stars and amongst one of many universes present around us (Bresnahan 1995). The concepts of time, space, causation and matter were all given to us by advanced research in science and hence we were able to build up different concepts from this knowledge.
It must be noted that laws which govern the physical world (encompassing disease, accidents and various other disasters) have no possible goals which relate to human beings. Science has taught us that there is nothing like providence, fate, spells, karma, augury, curses, answered prayers or divine retribution with the help of inconsistency amongst the workings of cognition and the laws of probability.
It is because of science that we are able to explore different plants in our universe and are able to know about their features. The technological advancements in our daily lives have made the life of a normal human being so easy that we sometimes tend to neglect its significance in our lives. It is because of these reasons that we must understand what science has done for us and what it could possibly do for us. The human effort because of advancements and technology and also because of new innovations has been subsided to a very low level. Almost everything which was done by humans either physically or mentally has been taken over by machines like computer, printing press etc(Nelson 2009).
